COROZAL
Corozal is the most northern district in Belize and it sits along the relaxing shores of the Corozal Bay.

It is also about 8 miles from the Mexican Border.
The foundation of Corozal Town is that of the ancient Maya City of Santa Rita but so far only one site remains there. Cerros, which was once a Maya Trading Center, overlooks Corozal Bay. It's about a 15 minutes boat ride from the Town. You can also take a visit to the picturesque fishing village of Sartenja , which is about 45 minutes by boat from Corozal Town and you can also visit the Nature Reserve of Shipstern .
