St. Herman's Blue Hole National Park

     St. Herman's Cave

The St. Herman's Blue Hole National Park is located 12 miles southeast of Belmopan city on the Hummingbird High

way.  This National Park boasts two great attractions, the St. Herman's Cave and the Blue Hole.

The Cave and the Blue Hole are connected by the Cave's Branch River system.  The Blue Hole was formed after an underground cave collapsed and the river, that still flows through the cave today, created a pool of cool, azure- colored water where the cavern collapsed.

The Blue Hole measures 100ft in depth, and 300ft across.
