Adele Ramos

Adele O. Ramos is a Belizean journalist, poet, and publisher. Her works appear twice a week in the Amandala newspaper, the leading national newspaper in Belize. Adele has published a series of works, her first coming in 2001: Thomas Vincent Ramos, The Man and His Writings. She followed with her debut poetry anthology of love poems - PHASES. She has published for authors Anne Lowe (Liberated), Evan X Hyde (Sports, sin and subversion), the Belizean Poets Anthology (2006), Point of Order (Ivory Kelly), and more... Adele led the poetic renaissance in Belize (2005-2006), being the founding president of the Belizean Poets Society (now the Belizean Writers and Poets Society), and the organizer of the Belizean Poets Contest and the Belizean Poets Exhibit, as well as poetry shows. She has continued to actively promote Belizean poets and a range of other artists through whatever medium is available to her. She is an artist herself - a painter, designer and seamstress. Adele is the mother of two children - Kayla and Emeri.

Travel Tip - Entry Requirements

When visiting Belize, you must have a valid passport, along with proof of return. No visas are required from the United States, United Kingdom, and Caribbean countries. Most other countries requires visa. Check with your travel representative. Visitors are allowed a month visit without requesting an extension.
