Florencio Mess is one of the few remaining Maya harpists in the southern village of San Pedro Colombia. As a child he was taught to play the Maya harp, guitar and violin and also how to fashion the instruments. Mess often plays at traditional village celebrations. Florencio Mess' music has been described as "a living connection to ancient maya culture". All of his songs are based on traditional Maya songs that have been in exsitence for centuries

When visiting Belize, you must have a valid passport, along with proof of return. No visas are required from the United States, United Kingdom, and Caribbean countries.
