Lucio & The New Generation

Lucio Y Su Generacion (Lucio and the New Generation) is a professional family band from Sugar City Orange Walk Town. The Band made a transition from musical band of brother to Lucio and his New Generation which comprises of Lucio Alcoser Sr., Lucio Jr., Lucilo Enrique, and Luis Carlos. In 1981 Lucio Alcoser who is the leader of the band wrote the song September 21, when Belize obtained its Independence from Great Britain. Since then he has released three albums “ Lucio Compilation”, “Mundo Maya”and the third “Back In Belize”. They have performed all over Belize and have travelled internationally and have performed in Dallas, Houston, New York, Los Angeles also Mexico and Guatemala. In 1988 the band gained international recognition when they won first place in the Chicago’s Park District Annual Talent Search, they were featured in many television programs like Music Alive, Star Search, and Christmas around the World.
