Mervin Budram

Mervin Budram Jr., aka“ProClaimer”, aka “Merv Douglas” is a Belizean Singer, Rapper, Songwriter & Producer, living in the Garden City, Belmopan . Mervin was born March 16, 1983 to Mervin & Juanita Budram and immediately had to fight for his life as the Doctor gave him up to die due to severe medical complications. Mervin experienced the first miracle in his life as the doctor surprisingly told his mom hours later “I don’t know what happened, but there’s a new heart, a new pair of lungs, a new liver, all in working condition and before, they were totally not working.” Mervin grew up loving music and often walked around the house singing at the top of his lungs but if you were to question him, he would tell you that the passion for music in his life is fueled by the greater passion for his God Jehovah. Mervin’s heart’s desire is to see Belize changed and truly reformed. He is a part of the Legacy Youth Ministry & Jubilee Fellowship which seeks to empower and train this generation of Belizean youths to succeed in every sphere of society and rise up and fulfill their God given destiny. Mervin was introduced to music at age of 9 when he played drums for a band “Conquers.” Over the years, he’s worked with several local artists within Belize such as the late Andy Palacio, Jacob Diggz, MessNjah, Mikal, Lady Indie, D-Revelation, Louis Wade, Blessed Child, Spiritual Chef, Exodus, Yesenia, Rey de Reyes, Dennis Requeña, Deady on the Beats and more. Mervin has a desire to empower young artist to fulfill their dreams and help them keep the right priorities in their music pursuit.
