The original turtle shell band
The original turtle shell band is known for music that is a combination of punta, paranda and hungu-hungu drum rhythms fused with garifuna and rastafarian chants, accompanied by instruments
such as turtle shells and a conch shell. The band is a second generation of the turtle shell band and the members are relatives and proteges of Pen Cayetano, who aided in fostering the merge of traditional punta and puntarock.
