Tony Wright

Albert Anthony Wright, better known as "Tony Wright" has been a part of the Belizean music scene since 1966. He is the founder and president of the "Association for Belizean Artists First", an organization that serves to promote and preserve Belizean roots and culture through musical and other artistic events. Tony Wright has been involved with many Belizean music groups and has performed not only in Belize but also in Mexico and the United States. Many of his songs are well known local hits, for example, the song "All a we da wan" which is practically an anthem in Belize. Tony Wright is one of Belize's most famous and influencial Brukdong artists, and has been a key player in efforts to preserve Belizean music and culture. Tony made his musical debut in the 60's with Jeoffrey Gillett and his Cosmonauts and his most recent album releases are "Tony Wright Now" and "September Feelings". Tony Wright's talent has earned him recognition both locally and internationally. In 2005 he was honored at the Lord Rhaburn Music Awards for his 39 years of service to Belize's music industry. When visiting Belize, you must have a valid passport, along with proof of return. No visas are required from the United States, United Kingdom, and Caribbean countries. Most other countries requires visa. Check with your travel representative. Visitors are allowed a month visit without requesting an extension.
