Meatballs

Ingredients:

1 Lb ground beef or ground steak *** minced onions *** minced green pepper *** 3 tbsp ketchup *** 1/2 cup breadcrumbs *** 1/2 cup evaporated milk *** sliced onion *** sliced green pepper *** 1 tbsp tomato paste *** 1 cup water *** salt and pepper to taste *** a dash of worchestershire sauce ***

Instructions:

Combine ground beef or ground steak with minced onions, minced green pepper, ketchup, breadcrumbs and evaporated milk, in a bowl and mix throughly. Make sure that the consistency is such that when you make the meatballs, the ingredients are not packed too tightly. Shape mixture into even sized balls and fry in hot oil, turning only when brown on the underside. (Note : if the meatballs are turned before they are brown, they will break!) After the meatballs are brown, remove and drain excess oil. Place the slices of green pepper and onion on the bottom of the pot and then replace the meatballs. Combine the tomato paste, salt, pepper, worchestershire sauce and water and mix. Add this mixture to the meatballs in the pan, a little at a time. Cover and leave on low heat to simmer until pepper and onions are cooked.
